| Scholarships The following scholarships are presented by the Center on Aging: Neena L. Chappell Scholarship Fund This scholarship was started with a large donation from the Victoria Gerontological Association and continues to grow through donations from the community. David Chuenyan Lai Scholarship The first scholarship to be created was the David Chuenyan Lai Scholarship with donations in honour of David Lai’s contribution to the university and the community. Alice Lou-Poy Scholarship in Alzheimer's Research The Alice Lou-Poy Scholarship in Alzheimer's Research was created by our former Chancellor Ronald Lou-Poy in memory of his mother Alice Lou-Poy. This scholarship is directed to Alzheimer research and is a gift from the community and the Lou-Poy family. It was set up in 2007 and first given out in 2010. Rotary Club of Sannich Scholarship The Rotary Club of Saanich awards two scholarships each year for graduate students conducting aging research. Each award is valued at $750 for a total of $1,500. Elaine Gallagher Scholarship Fund The Elaine Gallagher Scholarship Fund has not yet reached the amount necessary to make it an endowed fund. Your support to the fund would be greatly appreciated. |
