Research Interests

Palliative and end-of-life care; family caregiving; home care; HIV/AIDS; oncology;
vulnerable and marginalized populations; gerontology; health services research; qualitative and quantitative research methods; mixed method study design; collaborative, participatory research.

Current Teaching

My teaching has been in undergraduate and graduate programs. Currently, I teach research and evaluation at the master’s level and have taught a palliative care elective and a health care communications course at the undergraduate level. I supervise nursing and interdisciplinary graduate students examining issues related to palliative and end-of-life care, family caregiving, home care, HIV/AIDS, oncology, vulnerable and marginalized populations and gerontology.
