Community Senior Friendly Business Award The Centre on Aging's Senior Friendly Business Award (SFBA) is driven by our volunteers (Friends). They are the ones who pick the category each year and administer the award. Self-Management Programs The Self-Management Programs are lay-led patient education programs offered in every Health Authority in British Columbia. VIPAC-COACH The VIPAC-COACH stands for the Vancouver Island Partnership for Aging Care (VIPAC) and the Centre on Aging - Continuing Health Services (COACH). Friends of the Centre on Aging The Friends are more formally known as the Friends of the Centre on Aging. They are volunteers who have an interest in aging-related issues. University of Victoria Retirees Asssociation The University of Victoria Retirees Association (UVRA) began in November 1992. Its membership works with the Centre on Aging to promote and participate in activities undertaken by the Centre on Aging as well as providing their own activities. Valued Elder Recognition Award The Valued Elder Recognition Award (VERA) recognizes seniors who have made a valuable contribution to our community. It came into being thanks to the efforts of concerned and involved seniors. |
